Justin Timberlake is under renewed scrutiny after the release of a new documentary about his Super Bowl performance with Janet Jackson.

Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson focuses on the notorious 2004 incident where Timberlake ripped off some of Jackson’s outfit and temporarily exposed his chest. It premiered on November 19 on the US channel FX and was produced by the New York Times.

While both musicians apologized at the time, the aftermath of the Super Bowl caused Jackson’s career to stagnate, from which he never fully recovered, while Timberlake emerged unscathed. He was allowed to perform at the Grammys, where he won the award for best male pop vocal performance, while Jackson was banned.

“Justin Timberlake, the man who opened Jackson’s outfit and later feigned ignorance, fled the scene, his career intact,” Adam White observed in an article about the documentary for The Independent. “Jackson, whose chest served as a valuable distraction from the fledgling Iraq war, was ruined.”

“Between Britney and Janet, Justin once faced controversies that had serious public relations effects on the women around him,” it was mentioned in an article of Slate. “Fortified by his undeniable musical talent, and make no mistake, he is one of the greatest performers in recent history, the idea of ??Timberlake as an innocent boy endured for decades, even when there was evidence to the contrary.”

?The new settling of accounts to which he is subjected seems like a cultural exorcism, an opportunity to use the former member of a boy band as a means to purge ourselves of the evils that he now represents for many … Timberlake has become the perfect emblem of a bygone era that rewarded boys who were like him, until one day they no longer “.

A review on The Daily Beast said the documentary “sets fire” to Timberlake’s “shit behavior” and compared it to Framing Britney Spears, which explored the way the pop star fights for guardianship and the way she was treated by the media during the peak of her fame.

?Framing Britney Spears… it portrayed how the Nsync star used the media apparatus and the default misogyny of our society to ruin Spears’ reputation and in turn boost her career, ?it read.

?He exposed a person with whom he had a sexual history and took advantage of the points ‘scored’ for being with her, a sensual and famous woman who was rumored to be a virgin, to gain sympathy after the breakup and for the approval of the guys cool for his conquest, all to fuel his rise in the industry. Meanwhile, we hummed his idiotic song together like stunned accomplices. “

The Independent Timberlake representative has been contacted for comment.

Timberlake previously responded to the “reckoning” for his behavior following the launch of Framing Britney Spears.

?I have seen the messages, tags, comments and concerns and I want to respond. I really regret the moments in my life when my actions contributed to the problem, when I spoke inappropriately or did not stand up for what was right, ?he said in an Instagram post at the beginning of this year.

“I understand that my conduct was unsatisfactory at those times and many others, and that I benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.”

“I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and, more importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to participate in and learn from,” he continued.

?The industry has flaws. It puts men, especially whites, in a position of success. It is designed this way. As a man in a privileged position, I have to talk about this. Due to my ignorance, I did not recognize it as such when it happened to me, but I never want to benefit again from the oppression of others.

I still get goosebumps when I think about the promise of the supermarkets. Within the next two years, they will all switch to chicken with at least one Beter Leven star from the Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals. A step for which we at Wakker Dier have been fighting for nine years. And that seemed unfeasible for a long time. A step that will save a lot of misery for the 100 million chickens that the Dutch eat every year. And that might change a lot more than that.

Rabobank expects this switch to reduce the number of broilers in the Netherlands by 40 percent ? ??an unprecedented decline in the livestock population. And that while the number of chick farmers remains the same. According to Rabobank it is therefore possible: fewer animals without the feared decrease in the number of farmers or the exodus from the countryside. What does change is the dynamics within the sector. Soon, half of the broiler farmers will produce according to standards that exceed the statutory standards and for the Dutch market. What does this do to the farmers’ lobby and support for export? I am curious what is then seen as the farmer’s interest.

Soon, half of the broiler farmers will produce according to standards that exceed the statutory standards and for the Dutch market. What does this do to the farmers’ lobby and support for export? I’m curious what is seen as the farmer’s interest

In the meantime, the integrated chain is on the rise in supermarkets. Albert Heijn works with regular farmers on ‘Better for’ programs for chicken, dairy and pig. Jumbo often enters into long-term relationships with farmers. En Plus introduced ‘farmer pride’, including pork from farmers who supply the supermarket exclusively. In this way, the supermarkets take responsibility for the entire chain: from farm to fork. And that offers opportunities for animal welfare.

Farmers can invest more easily because of the sales guarantee and a better price.
Abuses no longer only affect farmers and slaughterhouses, but also the seller. And more importantly: with a high-quality chain, a supermarket can create added value. This clears the way to position meat differently. As a valuable luxury product, instead of a cheap banger.

I am also finally seeing a movement towards less and better in government. Even the CDA reluctantly admits that shrinking livestock is inevitable! The nitrogen case forces the government to do something about livestock farming. And in the coalition agreement I read that she also wants to tackle other problems at the same time. She even refers explicitly to the advice of the Council for Animal Affairs on animal husbandry. It would be naive to expect that tomorrow everything will be better, but there seems to be a different wind blowing.

Very cautiously, our government seems to be moving towards real reform. For example, retail, sector and government suddenly benefit from livestock farming with fewer animals, better welfare requirements and a better revenue model, more domestic market and much less export. With an end to the livestock industry as we know it today. And that is an outcome where everyone wins. Last but not least the animals.

1995 was a year that marked a before and after in many aspects: as children we enjoyed programs like ‘The goose game’, we played video games like the new ones ?Super Mario World 2: Yoshi?s Island? The Mortal Kombat 3, and we listened to the album ‘Barefoot’ by Shakira.

That year we also enjoyed great movies like Brave Heart de Mel Gibson, Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino and The bridges of Madison by Clint Eastwood.

However, there was a film released that year that marked the entire adolescent generation of that time: we talked about Clueless, known in Latin America as Ni Idea, an adaptation of the book Emma from the renowned writer Jane Austen who explained in 98 minutes everything you should know about the sayings, clothes and fashionable hairstyles.

The Clueless phenomenon

The film, written and directed by the American producer Amy Heckerling, revolved around the characters of ?Cher? -Performed by the actress Alicia Silverstone– Y ‘Dionne’ -acted by Stacey Dash-, two of the most popular girls from Beverly Hills High School who lived worried about being fashionable and ?inn?.

In his comfortable home, ?Cher? lives with his father, a famous California lawyer, and his stepbrother ?Josh? (Paul Rudd), son of his father’s ex-wife and who works as his intern and right hand man. Despite not getting along quite well at first, over time the young woman and her stepbrother will end up getting closer than expected.

In parallel, the film shows the social and emotional problems of upper-class youth. In the case of the protagonist, she has an innate need to help the homeless; reason why she ends up turning her naive new friend ‘Or’ (Brittany Murphy) on an attractive young woman.

The film was an unprecedented success, leading to a spin-off in the form of a television series produced by the ABC company between 1996 and 1999, and which was broadcast in Latin America through the screens of Nickelodeon and Sony Entertainment. In addition, it led to the development of a collection of books focused on his characters.

Nowadays, in as much, the film is considered like a cult film, absolute reference of the looks of the time and one of the tapes ?coming-of-age? most endearing of all time.

El elenco de Clueless | Paramount Pictures

Their protagonists

The actors who starred in the film quickly became global stars.

In the case of Alicia Silverstone, the artist achieved recognition for her short 17 years, after starring in the Aerosmith video clip of her song ?Crying?. Later he would participate in two other videos of the band, ?Amazing? and the recognized ?Crazy?. In fact, it was after seeing her participation in these shorts that the director Amy Heckerling decided to sign her for the leading role in Clueless. Two years later, it would become the ?Batgirl? of the movie Batman & Robin (1997).

However, after being a victim of ?fat-shaming? in the recordings and promotion of the Bat Man movie, due to his weight gains and losses during filming, Silverstone moved away from the Hollywood frontline. He focused on his private life, married – and later divorced – and had a son, which became his greatest motivation.

For her part, actress Brittany Murphy also achieved great fame after passing through Ni Idea. Was part of Interrupted innocence (1999), Just Married (2003) -where she shared roles with her ex-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher-, Little Big friends (2003) and Happy Feet: The Penguin (2006).
Your private life

Dash didn’t have an easy life. Since she was little, she was exposed to situations of abuse and neglect that deeply marked her life, as she has reported in various interviews.

As a result of the above, the interpreter has struggled to find her better half. At his current 54 years, Dash has been married four times: with producer Brian Lovell, between 1999 and the mid-2000s; with the British executive James Maby, CEO of Sports Logistics, between 2005 and 2006; with actor Emmanuel Xeureb, between 2007 and 2010; and finally with attorney Jeffrey Marty, between 2018 and 2020.

Precisely, with the latter, he was the cover of the North American tabloids in September 2019, after being arrested in his department of Pasco County, Florida, for domestic violence after an argument with Marty. She pleaded not guilty, and the case was later dismissed at Jeffrey’s own request.

Despite her turbulent relationships, Stacey has two ground wires that keep her happy: her children Austin, born in 1991 as a result of her relationship with singer Christopher Williams, and her daughter Lola, born in 2003, who is presumed to be the daughter by Lovell or Maby.

Trauma, drugs and weapons

Since her inception in acting, Dash has been outspoken about the trauma she has endured throughout her life.

On several occasions he has mentioned that was abused as a child by a family friend, and what product of your unresolved issues was addicted to cocaine in their teens and early adulthood.

In addition, he has indicated that he has a history of couples who have been abusive both physically and psychologically.

In this regard, the actress mentioned that she has been open about these topics due to her desire to be honest with her children, as a way to protect them and tell them that she is not a victim but a survivor.

Stacey has even declared that she supports the right to own and bear arms, stating that the use of one saved her life after being sexually assaulted by an ex-boyfriend when she was young. On the occasion, he was able to defend himself by pointing his own weapon at him to scare him, after which he managed to escape the scene.

Dash and politics

Leaving her career in film and TV in the background, since 2012 the actress has publicly shared her political views, supporting the candidate Donald Trump in the 2016 elections.

This was a target of criticism from her followers, considering that in 2008 she was a loyal admirer of Barack Obama, to whom he gave his vote in the remembered elections.

And, after that historic vote, Stacey changed her party affiliation from democrat to republican, something that would impact his professional career for years to come.

The above, since on February 26, 2018 the interpreter submitted a request to run in California’s 44th Congressional District in the 2018 elections as part of the Republican candidates.

After joining the race, Dash stated that he wanted “Freeing people from the chains of a plantation mentality”. Despite her attempts, the actress withdrew from the congressional race on March 30, 2018 to prioritize her well-being and that of her family, as reported by CNN.

Years later, last March, he would testify in an interview with the British media Daily Mail that his political affiliation has played a trick on him.

?I have lived my life angry (?) I was the conservative and angry black woman. In 2016 I realized that anger is unsustainable and destroys you. I made many mistakes because of that anger, “he said around the period in which he identified with the Republican world.

To this, she added that ?being a Trump supporter has put me in a kind of box where I don’t belong. But he is not the president. I’m going to give the president we have right now a chance, “he said in reference to Joe Biden.

Dash’s last bet

After years without being in charge of a film production, this year Stacey Dash returned to the lights as the protagonist of the film Roe v. Wade, made by director Nick Loeb, and focused on the 1973 court case that forced the United States Supreme Court to decriminalize induced abortion in the country.

In the film, released in April, Dash plays Mildred Jefferson, the first black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School, known for her opposition to the legalization of abortion and her work as chair of the National Committee for the Right to Life.

Stacey Dash | Twitter

Despite his return, Critics have classified the film as low quality, “conservative” and “untrue” of what happened with the case.

The New York Times criticized the film for having “poor performances and low production values.” Meanwhile, Variety magazine was harsh in stating that it was a “piece of egregious anti-abortion propaganda” that spreads historical falsehoods and includes “sometimes sexist smear campaigns, executed with the competition of a low-cost infomercial, as it exploits religious guilt to dishonor a legal medical procedure ?.

Ignoring the bad reviews for her latest film, Dash remains focused on enjoying her life and family, sharing snapshots of her work on and off the set on social media like Twitter.

And despite everything, many of us will remember her forever as the great ?Dionne Davenport?, an example of class, fashion and fun that marked a whole generation of teenagers.

In the case of Paul Rudd, after passing through Clueless The actor would develop a great career in TV and cinema, being part of very important series such as Friends -where he became the husband of one of its protagonists, ?Phoebe Buffay? (Lisa Kudrow) – and from movies like Romeo + Juliet (1996), Anhcorman (2004), Virgin at 40 (2005) and more recently as Ant Man (Ant-man) in the Marvel movie franchise.

An outbreak of infection by ‘Candida auris’, an emerging fungus that poses a serious threat to health, is being investigated in a hospital in Oregon (USA). These are the first cases in the state of strains of this microorganism, some of which are known for their resistance to the main antifungal drugs.

In a release Issued Tuesday, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) reported three patients testing positive for the dangerous fungus inside Salem Health hospital. The first case was detected on December 11 in a man who “had recently been exposed to international medical care” and his diagnosis was confirmed six days later. The other two individuals were identified on December 23 and 27 and contracted the infection while hospitalized, due to “epidemiological links with the first case.”

“Fortunately, the organism we are dealing with in this outbreak seems to answer to existing treatments, “said OHA Dr. Rebecca Pierce. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other local health authorities are working to detect new cases and “ensure that appropriate measures are implemented.”

Jasmin Chaudhary, medical director of infection prevention at Salem Health, said they are taking aggressive eradication measures ?Which have worked in other health institutions? to prevent the spread of the fungus. “The ‘Candida auris’ is a emerging pathogen of concern because it can cause serious infections, particularly in people with serious medical problems, and it can be resistant to the antifungal drugs that we have to treat it, “Pierce said.

According to the CDC, this microorganism spreads in hospital settings and affects patients who have been hospitalized for long periods or with diseases that compromise their immune system; especially those who remain with venous catheters or are intubated, since they have a greater risk of infection and serious complications. The possibility of contagion among healthy people – including healthcare personnel– is extremely low.

The fungus can enter the bloodstream of a person and spread throughout the body, causing serious invasive infections with up to 40% hospital mortality. It is difficult to identify with standard laboratory methods and requires specific procedures, since ‘C. auris’ can be confused with other species of eukaryotic organisms and lead to inappropriate treatment, the CDC clarifies.

Candida auris is a fungus that was first discovered in 2009 in a patient in Japan. Quickly, it spread to several countries and appeared on three continents at almost the same time. Since 2013, more than 1,150 clinical cases in the U.S.

Although the critics never favored the groundbreaking film directed by Chloé Zhao, Eternals has gradually been gaining fans, as his contribution to the MCU is on a monumental scale. Long before its premiere, including filming, speculations about the place that the Eternals would occupy in the MCU and also about the relationship they would have with Thanos, who is technically a member of the Eternals race, were already roaming the Internet.

This film allowed us to learn much more about this star race, and also about its creators, the Celestials, who were mentioned for the first time in Guardians of the Galaxy – 91%. Now with the arrival of Eternals, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was colossally expanded and we stumbled upon beings of cosmic proportions whose purpose and method of creating other Celestials seem difficult to assimilate. In addition, with this expansion of characters, Eros / Starfox (Harry Styles), Thanos’s brother, arrived in one of the post-credits scenes, arriving at the ship where some of the Eternals were traveling.

This is when the great doubt arises, how are Starfox and Thanos related to the plot of the Eternals and the Celestials? In a recent interview for Empire, the director and screenwriter of Eternals, Chloe Zhao, indicated how these two important MCU characters, Eros and Thanos, fit into the story. The filmmaker began by exposing the plans that were had for Starfox:

Do not miss: Eternals was the most searched movie on Google in 2021

I can tell you why! Simply put, with that depressing ending, at some point he was going to be one of the Eternals on that ship. And that didn’t quite work. But I had wanted to bring Eros to the MCU so I kept mentioning him to Kevin [Feige] every chance I got down the hall, because I love the idea of ??Eros being another Eternal, another Ajak. He is an Eternal, and was assigned to the planet Titan; 10 of them were, as were the 10 Eternals on Earth, assuming Titan is also a host planet at some point. Now if you think about it, what influence could Eros have had on the inhabitants of Titan, in the same way that Ajak influenced the people of Earth? And how has that affected Thanos?

It is clear that Eros will be an important character within the MCU in the future, although it is unknown what his relationship with the Eternals will be like or what will be the next step that this diverse group of superheroes will take to recover their missing members, it is suspected that all this It will be directly related to Eros and Thanos. At the interview, Zhao He continued to share a little more information, this time about the relationship between the two brothers:

If you go to the comics, there is quite a beautiful and heartbreaking influence that Eros has had on Thanos. And how much does Thanos know? I love him as a character. It makes my imagination run wild thinking, ‘Why does Thanos think like this? Why are you worried about overpopulation and the destruction of your planet? ‘ Think about the ’emergence’: Does Eros know? Perhaps if he is a counselor, the way Ajak advised the kings and queens on Earth? That ignites my imagination. For me, the story of Eros’s past is that he defected, and he said, ‘I’m not going to do this anymore.’ So he somehow got that sphere, the one you saw in his hand, and he ran out and turned Pip into the troll. They are like Han Solo and Chewie. Arishem has been looking for him, and he has just been an outlaw from space. That’s the character I had in mind. But I never once said to Kevin, ‘Here’s the character. Let’s find an actor. ‘ For me, it was a package. It has to be Harry. So I told Kevin.

Radio is his childhood dream, his teenage passion, “Maybe more than television”, and a large part of his adult life. It is therefore natural that Laurent Ruquier chose, for his aperitif, a Parisian palace on rue François-I.is, the artery of 8e district historically known to house the premises of Europe 1, very close to those of RTL, rue Bayard – until the two stations moved in 2018.

“Here, it’s really my neighborhood: I live there”, he specifies, tumbling down smiling, after having had his complexion unified quickly in a room at the Grand Powers. Writer, playwright, producer (Ruq Spectacles), Laurent Ruquier has hosted daily, since 2014, ?Les Grosses Têtes? on RTL. He also presents on France 2 the Sunday program “Les Enfants de la Télé” and, since the start of the 2020 school year, “We are live” on Saturday evening with Léa Salamé. “Most of the time, I work”, recognizes this man in a hurry.

Listening to Laurent Ruquier is a bit like hearing a recording after having checked “speed 1.5”. It bursts. The repartition, the ?flow?, has been his profession for thirty years. A mechanism that does not adapt well to deviations. So, when he orders a detox cocktail made from carrot, orange, ginger and turmeric juice, it is not because he does not drink alcohol, but just that“With my days, I cannot”. In the evening, on the other hand, at the end of the week, he appreciates great French wines, “Rather burgundy”, and Italians. ?The good ones, but also a glass of Lambrusco secco, a wine that makes you happy, even if I don’t necessarily need it to be. ” The man relaxes.

Dress codes

He settled into a mini-sofa, comfortably dressed in a thick black-and-white herringbone tweed suit. “I like to buy my costumes at Dolce [et Gabbana], Saint-Laurent, Givenchy or Dior. I have the means to do it, why would I deprive myself of it? ” He suffered from not knowing the dress codes when he arrived in Paris, at the age of 25, after a childhood spent in Le Havre, his hometown. “I was quite bored”, he recalls. To escape his daily life, he then recorded all the broadcasts of ?Grosses Têtes? on cassettes.

“I have seen some in this profession – a lot – with ready-made files, but a program like” Les Grosses Têtes “is something you can experience”

When in 2014, RTL offered him to replace Philippe Bouvard at the head of this cult program, it was obvious. ?I said yes right away.

I knew the show so much: it was my destiny! “ Today, with 2 million listeners on average during the week, “Les Grosses Têtes” prances at the head of audiences from 3:30 to 6 p.m., France’s leading podcast (13.8 million listens in total).
?My friends and I were enjoying the night until a man came up to us and said if we wanted to wait to meet Justin when the show was over. Obviously we said yes. (?) Justin and another man who looked like his friend invited us to the Four Seasons Hotel (?). Upon arrival, Justin’s friend took my two friends and he took me to another room. Justin made me promise that I would not say anything to anyone or I would have a serious legal problem ?, explained the girl, adding that her kisses were rising in tone until the singer took advantage of her.

It was when a girl named Khadidja assured that she believed in Danielle’s story, stating that she had also been a victim of Justin.

Khadidja says the sexual abuse occurred in March 2015, when she and some friends were waiting for Justin outside a New York hotel to ask for an autograph. One of Justin’s friends came out and told her that the singer found her attractive and invited her to meet him in his hotel room.

The $ 10 million lawsuit against Justin has just been dissolved; According to the Radar Online portal, Bieber and Daniella resolved the case through private mediation, without the need for a trial involved. For her part, in the case of Khadidja, the girl requested that the singer’s claim be dismissed, assuring that what she said against him was not defamatory.

Khadidja says the sexual abuse occurred in March 2015, when she and some friends were waiting for Justin outside a New York hotel to ask for an autograph. One of Justin’s friends came out and told her that the singer found her attractive and invited her to meet him in his hotel room.

No one has ever immersed themselves so fully and in such a complex way in the world of dreams as they did. Christopher Nolan con Origen (Inception). Tape starring Leonardo DiCaprio It is still a headache for many viewers to this day. A title that, in addition to its intricate plot, hides many really interesting secrets related to its production.

– Michael Caine explains (again) the ending of Origin

Putting aside its ambiguous ending or its incredible Oscar-winning visuals, In Origin Nolan mixes the dream world and futuristic technology to plot a plot in which dreams are confused with the most sophisticated espionage and robbery cinema.

– The new Origin theory turns the whole movie upside down

A high-end cinematic gem which, of course, has a good handful of fun facts. We recovered ten of them:

1. NOLAN TOOK 10 YEARS TO WRITE THE MOVIE

Nolan is one of those directors, like Tarantino, who is in no rush to write his scripts. For El Truco Final he spent five years working on the story. And time doubled in Origin. In 2011, the filmmaker revealed to Deadline that he had a hard time getting the story to look really compelling. But everything was solved when Cobb’s wife and children entered the scene.

2. THE INITIALS OF THE CHARACTERS FORM AN ACRONYM

All the names of the characters of Origin hide some secret, such as that of Ariadne (Ellen Page) who takes her name from the mythological character who helped Theseus out of the minotaur’s labyrinth. But when the initials of each of the six protagonists (Dom, Robert, Eames, Arthur, Mal and Saito) are combined the word that is obtained is DREAMS (dreams). If the names Peter Ariadne and Yusuf are added to this, the result is DREAMS PAY (something like “dreams are paid”). Disturbing.

3. NOLAN DID NOT WANT TO FILM IN 3D

During the filming of Origin, and given the growing success of 3D technology in the wake of Avatar, Nolan considered shooting the movie with this process. However, he ruled it out because he thought it would be too distracting from the plot. As revealed to Deadline in 2011, later it was decided to include 3D in post-productionBut the idea was also scrapped because it would have been too expensive to get the result that the ever-ambitious filmmaker was really looking for.

4. HE JUST USED CGI IN THE ACTION SEQUENCES

Watching the movie, it would be easy to think that the vast majority of sequences, especially the most spectacular ones, were recreated by CGI. However, it was the opposite. Almost all the effects were done on set. Only about 500 shots of the final footage include digital retouching. The rest were recreated on the set itself, including the spectacular hotel fight sequence with spinning and anti-gravity effect, as well as the meeting of Cobb and Ariadne in the market, where everything explodes.

5. FILMING DURING A ROYAL AVALANCHE

These actual effects also include the sequence in the fortress of dreams, for which an avalanche was generated placing explosives in the mountains of Calgary, Canada. Although the team had doubts about whether the snow would act at the right time, a strong storm coincided with the days of filming, putting even more snow on the landscape. This scene, by the way, is inspired by classic James Bond action sequences.

6. TOM HARDY DIDN’T KNOW TO SKI BEFORE ORIGIN

But if anyone had a particularly bad time with the snow scenes that was Tom Hardy. The protagonist of Venom and Warrior did not know how to ski before filming began. As revealed on the Chatty Man show, “to avoid losing the opportunity to work for the first time with Nolan, Hardy had to learn to ski on set. And in some sequences he was even tied to the back of a snowmobile. “

7. HANS ZIMMER WAS INSPIRED BY EDITH PIAF

As important as the images of Origin is its soundtrack, the work of the ya legendario Hans Zimmer. Zimmer was originally inspired by the trombone section of a version of ‘No I regret nothing’ by Edith Piaf from 1956. And although Nolan was reticent because his star Marion Cotillard She had played the French singer in the French film Life in Pink, finally giving in to her composer’s ideas.

8. ORIGIN IS AN ALLEGORY OF THE ART OF MAKING FILM

The layers and layers that make up the Origin plot they are, as in the dream world itself, increasingly surprising. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nolan explained that while putting the finishing touches to the script, he realized that he had unconsciously created an allegory of the process of making a movie.

Each character fulfills a typical film crew role, with Cobb serving as director, Arthur as producer, Ariadne as production designer, Eames as lead actor, and Saito as investor. “When trying to write a team-based creative process, I wrote the one I know best“added the filmmaker.

9. JAPANESE TELEVISION EXPLAINED THE LAYERS OF DREAM

Although in Origin the characters spend much of the time explaining to the viewer, and to themselves, how the layers of dreams work, even so, the plot gets a bit confusing. That at least should have thought those responsible for Japanese television, since during the broadcasts of the film they added some posters in the lower corner of the screen that indicated at all times in which layer of the dream the action was taking place to avoid audience confusion … and steal some magic out of the experience?

10. THERE IS A TABLE GAME BASED ON ORIGIN

For all those fans who want to get fully into the plot of Origin and the dream world, there is a board game called ‘Dream Heist’ in which players dive into increasingly complex layers with the intention of implanting an idea in the mind of their sleeping target. Although the game takes many elements of the film, from its premise to the totems, it is not licensed by Warner Bros. But it can be purchased on its official website.
